The Hunter shows are designed to serve the needs of those who run lesson horse operations as well as those with green horses or those who just want to get out and "play" somewhere else.  All are low key and in a safe environment.

Required for participation:

  • Flu/Rhino vaccination verification from within 6 months and not closer than 14 days to the date of the show. 

  • Current Coggins (within 1 year).

Hunter Schooling Show Tentative Class List

Hunter schooling shows consist of 2 types of sessions. Morning sessions (Classes 1 and 2) are Beginner Equitation sessions consisting of 5 classes each and are customized for the entered riders. Each session accommodates 6-8 riders. Payment for these classes must be included with the entry form.

 

Afternoon session (Classes 3 thru 9) are standard Hunter classes. Riders are welcome to register for one or more classes and can add additional classes on the day of the show as desired. Prepayment for office fee and at least one class is required with the entry form. Additional classes ridden can be paid on show day.  Official entry form includes prices.

 

Class List:

Morning session - Classes 1 and 2

  1. Beginner Equitation Walk/Trot/Canter 10:00am - 11:15 am. 5 classes to include: 2 flat Equitation, 3 over rails and x's. Customized for riders entered. (Example: riders can be asked to canter one at a time in Class 1). Six to eight riders per class. Goal is to have two to three trainers with students per class. Each Class will run for 1 hour and 15 minutes, no warm up. Half hour break between sessions.

  2. Beginner Equitation Walk/Trot 11:45am - 1:00 pm. Same as class 1.

 

Afternoon Session - Classes 3 thru 9. Ring is open for schooling about 1:15pm. Class 3 starts at 2:00 pm. Stalls not available until 1:30 pm. Please call for stall reservations.

  1. Walk/Trot Hunter Under Saddle

  2. Walk/Trot/Canter Hunter Under Saddle

  3. 18" X's

  4. 2' verticals & flower boxes

  5. 2'3" and up with or without oxers (Fences in 7-9 set at any height requested.)

  6. 2'3" and up with or without oxers

  7. 2'3" and up with or without oxers Equitation

 

Entries must include all of the following:

  • Negative Coggins issued within 12 months

  • Certificate of Flu/Rhino Vaccination from not more than 6 months prior and not less than 14 days prior to show date.

  • Completed entry form and signed release

  • Prepayment

Entries MUST be mailed or emailed to arrive the Wednesday before the show, with payment of fees included. Pre-payment required for classes 1 & 2. Pre-payment for at least one class and office fee for afternoon classes 3-9.  Check, Venmo, PayPal or Zelle accepted.

ASTM/SEI hard hats are required while riding on North Run Farm property.
